Petition For Anal Cancer Awareness Day.
FROM:

, Facebook based anal cancer information website, USA 21st March: International Anal Cancer Awareness Day (Note change of date from 25th June): Calvin Nokes, an anal cancer survivor and anal cancer awareness advocate in the USA, alongside other international anal cancer awareness advocates, is spearheading a campaign to create an international Anal Cancer Awareness Day on the 21st March. By using this date, Anal Cancer Awareness Day will be incorporated into March which is international Colo-Rectal Awareness Month.Anal Cancers includes squamous cell carcinoma, anal adenocarcinoma, melanoma, lymphoma, sarcoma and some other very rare cancer types. During the week of Anal Cancer Awareness Day we will be raising awareness for Anal Cancer, Anal Intraepithelial Neoplasia (AIN) Screening for pre-cancerous cells as well as the association of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) with most, but not all, anal cancer cases. We will be doing this by distributing information via social media, public health memos, posters to medical clinics, hosting awareness events and talking at various organizations etc.We appreciate your support in this endeavour; the more people we have involved in this campaign, the more awareness we will bring...and the more lives we will save. 21st March: International Anal Cancer Awareness Day.
